My Background

Trained as a Stage and Screen Makeup Artist, I have worked in all fields of the makeup artistry industry.

My specialty was character/special effects makeup, wig work, and body painting.

Originally from Germany, I settled in New Zealand in 1999, where I called Wellington home for almost 23 years, for 18 years, I taught and trained many Hair & Makeup Artists and successfully led the makeup artistry department of WelTec.

Sculpting prosthetic pieces was part of my makeup artistry training and ignited my passion for clay work.

The many global and personal challenges in 2021 led me to a time of reflection. I ended up in Coromandel on my ‘Awakening Tour’ and felt a deep sense of homecoming and belonging, which rekindled my creativity and love for sculpting. I now call the idyllic Coromandel Town my home.

I come from a long line of spiritual feminists – strong, resilient women who overcame hardships and faced many challenges.

Resilience is in my blood and my ancestral bond gives me the strength to face the up and downs of life.
